The University of León has approved the Teaching Innovation Project entitled “Interdisciplinary learning through cooperative work in the field of new information and communication technologies and health sciences” and presented by our research group, SALBIS, in collaboration with the SECOMUCI group of the School of Engineering. The development of this project aims to improve the professional profiles of students through interdisciplinarity and cooperative learning.
Last Thursday, May 2, a multidisciplinary meeting took place at the Ponferrada Campus of the University of León, among students of the 4th Degree in Computer Engineering of the School of Engineering and 3rd year students of the Campus of Ponferrada Nursing. This meeting is part of a Teaching Innovation Projects carried out between the Research Groups SALBIS and SECOMUCI.
The meeting began with a brief presentation in the auditorium, where Carmen Triano García (nursing student), Pilar Marqués Sánchez (Director of the SALBIS Group), José Ramón Rodríguez Pérez (Vice-Rector of the Campus of Ponferrada) and Carmen Benavides Cuéllar (Member of the SALBIS Group).
After this presentation, the students met as a group so that the health guild could present a problem to solve and the engineers of each group began to work and discuss possible solutions to this problem.
It was an innovative and pleasant day of work between two different disciplines, Nursing and Computer Engineering.
