The SALBIS Group Attends the Madrid Official College of Nursing’s Tribute to Professor Mari Paz Mompart
Pilar Marqués and Lara Martínez attended the solemn ceremony organized by the Madrid College of Nursing, sharing emotions at a historic event dedicated to one of the most important figures in nursing at both national and international levels.
Marqués was appointed by the 40+ Nursing Group to represent Mari Paz Mompart’s pupils in the speeches delivered during the ceremony. She highlighted Professor Mompart’s ability to demand the highest humanistic rigor from her pupils within the nursing profession: “Rigorously humanistic, she taught us that techniques can be automated, but that true care requires understanding the human condition, with its history, its pain, and its dignity. She encouraged us to move forward with boldness and to occupy the professorships and decision-making positions that were rightfully ours.” She also emphasized her ability to convey calm with a single gesture and to inspire a movement of courage in leadership.
To conclude, Marqués stressed: “Teacher, you inspire me.”
