The SALBIS Research Group turns its Christmas greeting into a “scientific article” on health and well-being
The SALBIS Research Group has decided to celebrate the festive season in a very special way: by transforming its traditional Christmas greeting into a mock scientific article entitled “Impact of Christmas on Health and Well-Being by the SALBIS Research Group: Observational Study with a High Dose of Festive Spirit”.
In this unique piece of work, signed by the members of the group and presented in the same format as an academic publication, the authors describe, using good humour and “festive” rigour, how Christmas can influence emotional well-being, perceived stress, eating and sleeping habits, as well as the quality of social relationships. With a warm and informal tone, the text reminds us that Christmas celebrations can improve perceived health when they are experienced with realistic expectations, social support and time to rest, without forgetting the risks associated with excesses and emotional overload.
The greeting ends with a message addressed to the entire university community and to all the people and organisations that collaborate with the group, inviting everyone to raise a glass to exciting projects, shared experiences, health and, of course, excellent research outcomes. With this initiative, SALBIS reinforces its identity as a group that studies health, well-being and social networks without ever losing its sense of humour or its spirit of care for people.
From the SALBIS Research Group, we would like to wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, thanking you for the trust and support received throughout the year and renewing our commitment to research that is close to people, socially responsible and, whenever possible, accompanied by a smile.
