La 8 Bierzo, in its weekly programme Objetivo Bierzo<\/em>, aired a report on the appointment of researcher Noelia Fl\u00f3rez, focusing on this new stage of her scientific career linked to the Ponferrada Campus. The area director, Raquel Leir\u00f3s, also appears in the report, explaining what it means for the Campus to welcome a researcher from the Ram\u00f3n y Cajal Programme.<\/p>\n

Noelia Fl\u00f3rez\u2019s research line will focus on the valorisation of agri-food by-products for the extraction of bioactive compounds of interest, with potential applications in fields such as nutrition, biomedicine, and health.<\/p>\n

This appointment is also especially valuable for students at the Ponferrada Campus, since the presence of highly qualified research staff helps to enrich teaching, inspire scientific vocations, and provide close role models for those beginning their academic journey in the region itself.<\/p>\n
