The SALBIS Research Group is participating in a new training activity aimed at improving professional responses to mental health issues within the field of security and community intervention at the Ponferrada Campus. The session was led by Gema Serrano, a member of SALBIS, together with Cristina Mart\u00ednez, a member of the HeQoL group, and forensic doctor Ver\u00f3nica Carranza.<\/p>\n

The training was aimed at Local Police officers and other professionals involved in security and community intervention, with the purpose of providing up-to-date resources to address situations of psychomotor agitation, suicide risk, and stress arising from professional practice.<\/p>\n

The programme combined theoretical content, protocol review, and practical exercises adapted to real-life scenarios. During these practical sessions, participants worked with a mobile application specifically designed by the speakers to facilitate safe, evidence-based interventions.<\/p>\n

The initiative was positively received by the participants, who highlighted the usefulness of the applied approach and the importance of having technological tools adapted to professionals\u2019 needs.<\/p>\n

With activities like this, SALBIS reaffirms its commitment to the effective transfer of scientific knowledge to society.<\/p>\n
