On 18 and 25 March 2026, the 2nd Conference on Thermalism: water, health and knowledge was held, organised by the School of Nursing of Ourense at the Ourense Campus of the University of Vigo.<\/p>\n
The event brought together specialists from a range of disciplines and established itself as a forum for sharing experiences, perspectives and advances in the therapeutic use of thermal water. The participation of experts from diverse fields further reinforced the multidisciplinary nature that characterises these conferences.<\/p>\n
In this edition, the SALBIS research group was represented by Natalia Calvo Ayuso, who took part as a guest speaker.<\/p>\n
Her contribution took place during the second session, held on 25 March, with a presentation focusing on the impact of balneotherapy in the pharmacological management of fibromyalgia, actively contributing to the conference\u2019s scientific programme.<\/p>\n
