From July 10 to 12, 2025<\/strong>, the town of Molinaseca<\/strong>, in the Bierzo region, hosted the VII Summer Course on Social Network Analysis (SNA)<\/strong> and the VI Research Workshop \u201cSNA and Health in red@ndo\u201d<\/strong>, organized by the University of Le\u00f3n (Ponferrada Campus)<\/strong> as part of its summer course program. This edition once again brought together researchers, professionals, and students from various fields to reflect on and share experiences related to the application of Social Network Analysis<\/strong> in health and community settings.<\/p>\n

One of the course directors was David Bermejo Mart\u00ednez<\/strong>, a member of the SALBIS Research Group<\/strong>, whose involvement in the organization highlights the group\u2019s commitment to innovative approaches to understanding health from a relational, community-based, and evidence-informed perspective.<\/p>\n

The course featured distinguished speakers in the field of SNA, such as Daniel Holgado Ramos<\/strong> (University of Seville), Isidro Maya Jariego<\/strong> (University of Seville), and most notably, Jos\u00e9 Luis Molina Gonz\u00e1lez<\/strong> (Autonomous University of Barcelona), a key figure in the development of SNA in Spain and a leading international scholar. During the event, a heartfelt tribute was paid to Jos\u00e9 Luis Molina<\/strong>, honoring his outstanding academic and scientific career as well as his generous mentorship and support for emerging generations of researchers.<\/p>\n

Over the three days, participants engaged in lectures, hands-on workshops, and discussion spaces addressing topics such as social structures in vulnerable contexts<\/strong>, personal network analysis<\/strong>, and the use of SNA as a tool for designing and evaluating health interventions.<\/p>\n

At SALBIS<\/strong>, we are proud of our colleague\u2019s leadership in this edition and celebrate the success of a course that has become a national benchmark for advanced training in SNA and community health<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
