On\u00a0November 14th and 18th, 2024<\/strong>, several members of the\u00a0SALBIS research group<\/strong>, together with professors of podiatry and nursing, conducted the workshop\u00a0“What Are Your Feet and Balance Like?”<\/strong>\u00a0as part of the activities of the\u00a02024 Science Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The workshop was held at the\u00a0Colegio Diocesano San Ignacio de Ponferrada<\/strong>\u00a0and in the classrooms of\u00a0Columbrianos, Caba\u00f1as Raras, and Sancedo<\/strong>\u00a0at the\u00a0CRA Alborada – Ponferrada<\/strong>, where primary school children had the opportunity to participate in practical activities that helped them understand how the condition of their feet affects balance and body posture. Additionally, new evaluation methodologies specific to physiotherapy and podiatry were introduced, bringing these scientific concepts closer to young students in an interactive and engaging way.<\/p>\n

The activity generated great interest and enthusiasm among students and teachers, who appreciated the experience. At\u00a0SALBIS<\/strong>, we are proud to contribute to learning and scientific outreach, fostering curiosity and knowledge about health and well-being from an early age.<\/p>\n
