Nowadays, talking about the rising value that women have for the labor market is something necessary, in order to allow us to glimpse the great contribution that this makes to multiple fields in terms of work. But we can still advance more, since women, in addition to taking relevance in the work environment in general, has broken into different areas of knowledge, where their contributions to research have been remarkable. For centuries, truly privileged minds had to work from the shadow, simply because of a gender condition.<\/p>\n
Although things have progressed since women scientists such as Emmy Noether (1882-1935) or Cecilia Payne (1900-1979) were discriminated against for reasons of gender, there is still much work to be done, such as changing the fact that, although today in day science is practiced mostly by women, positions of responsibility are largely occupied by men. We are therefore facing a fact of global relevance, for which February 11 has been chosen as the International Day of Women and Girls in Science. It was in 2015 when the General Assembly of the United Nations decided to proclaim this date in recognition of the key role played by the female gender in the scientific community and technology.<\/p>\n
Thanks to women who in the past have fought for the rights of our gender, today we have advanced in the struggle, although there is still a way to go to achieve something as necessary as EQUALITY.<\/p>\n
In a society where the values that should be quoted the most are cooperation, reciprocity and mutual support, it is necessary to highlight the importance of the role of women in all social spheres. One of those spheres within the world of knowledge is research, which as a woman, I believe, arises from the need that each one of us experiences to explore the world in front of us. With work and enthusiasm, women are getting our gender does not define the size of our goals. Let’s move on!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
