Leticia Sánchez Valdeón

I currently work as a teacher assitant at the University of León, in the Department of Nursing and Physiotherapy, teaching “Psychosocial Nursing” and “Psychiatric Nursing”, both in the Nursing Degree; in the Master’s Degree in Research in Social and Health Sciences, in the subject “Intervention in New Health Demands” and in the University Master’s Degree in Healthy Aging and Quality of Life, in the subject “Nursing Applied to the Aging Process”.

My academic training begins with the Diploma in Nursing from the University of León, which has been completed with the Higher Degree in Nursing at the same University. I then studied a Degree in Humanities, a Master’s Degree in Emergency Medicine and Nursing at the European University of Madrid.

I am a Ph.D. in the Health Sciences Program, having carried out research in the Department of Biomedical Sciences at the University of Leon.

My lines of research are directly linked to Emotions and Health, and are mainly focused on two areas:

– Quality of life in people diagnosed with breast cancer.

– Biomarkers of Alzheimer’s type dementia.
