I studied the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at the University of Córdoba (2011–2015) and subsequently completed the Official Master’s Degree in Research Methodology in Health Sciences at the University of Córdoba (2015–2016). I obtained my PhD in the Biomedicine Program at the University of Córdoba, graduating Cum Laude with a dissertation titled “Interprofessional shared decision-making in the choice to remain at home or move among older adults” (2022).
I began working as a lecturer in the 2017–2018 academic year in the Nursing Degree Program at the University of Córdoba. I later held a four-year university teaching and research training contract (FPU) at the Institute for Advanced Social Studies of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) (2019–2022). After that, I returned to teaching in the Nursing Degree Program at the University of Granada, at the Ceuta Campus (2022–2023).
Currently, I teach in both the Nursing Degree and the Human Nutrition and Dietetics Degree programs at the University of León, Ponferrada Campus. Over the years, my research lines have focused on older adults and decision-making in care, currently shifting toward the intersection of new technologies (with a particular interest in AI), health and well-being, and gender studies.
