I work at the University of León as a lecturer in the Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and the Master’s Degree in Research in Health and Social Sciences. I teach the subjects of Community Nursing and Management of Nursing Services and Care in the undergraduate program, as well as Environmental Diagnosis in the master’s program. Part of these courses are focused on community care and health from a salutogenic perspective, promoting well-being and health-protective factors in different community contexts through the modification of social determinants of health.
My academic background includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of León (Ponferrada Campus), and I am a specialist nurse in Family and Community Care, trained in the Multiprofessional Teaching Unit of Family and Community Care in Southeast Madrid (Numancia Health Center). I completed a Master’s Degree in Research in Health and Social Sciences at the University of León, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in the Health and Human Motricity program at the same university. My research lines focus on Social Network Analysis (SNA) and its application to topics related to Men who have Sex with Men (MSM), chemsex, and unprotected sexual relations. I have carried out a research stay at Brunel University London, where I further developed these areas of interest. Additionally, I am an active member of the Spanish Association of Community Nursing (AEC), serving as the representative for youth and students, through which I contribute to advancing community nursing and professional development in this field.
