After more than 20 years of clinical experience, I currently carry out my teaching duties as a permanent full-time faculty member in the Bachelor’s degrees in Podiatry and Nursing at the University of León, following several years as an adjunct/part-time lecturer. My vocation for teaching is complemented by a solid background in healthcare management: I directed a nursing home for older adults for two years and, for four and a half years, the University Podiatry Clinic at the University of León—responsibilities I have always combined with clinical practice and teaching.
My academic training began with the Nursing and Podiatry diplomas at Universidad San Pablo CEU in Madrid. Subsequently, after completing various specialist qualifications and university expert certificates, I obtained the Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from the University of León.
My research career started with a Master’s degree in Podiatry Research at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid and continued with a PhD at the University of A Coruña, where I was awarded the title of Doctor in 2021.
At present, my research lines focus on tissue re-epithelialization and on improving people’s quality of life, with a clear emphasis on clinical application and on transferring knowledge to healthcare practice.
