Belinda Basilio Fernández, researcher at the University of Extremadura, has recently undertaken a research stay with Bibiana Trevisson Redondo, researcher and lecturer at the University of León, to carry out a collaborative research project focused on the vascular health of the population of El Bierzo.
As part of this research stay, both investigators have been working on the assessment of vascular health indicators within the local population, with the aim of improving knowledge of vascular diseases and identifying factors associated with vascular health and disease prevention.
This initiative forms part of an ongoing scientific collaboration between the two institutions, fostering knowledge exchange, research training, and the development of joint projects in the field of health sciences. The partnership strengthens academic and research links between the University of Extremadura and the University of León while contributing to the generation of high-quality scientific evidence with potential benefits for public health.
The research stay is also expected to lay the foundations for future collaborative projects and scientific publications, further advancing research on vascular health and promoting innovation in the prevention and management of vascular disorders.
