David Bermejo Participates in the 10th Edition of Pint of Science León with a Talk on Health, Drugs, and Artificial Intelligence
David Bermejo Martínez, researcher and professor at the Deparment of Nursing and Physiotherapy of the University of León, participated in the 10th edition of Pint of Science León, one of the most prominent science outreach events on both national and international levels.
His talk took place on Monday, May 19, at Le Bon Café in León, during an evening focused on science and social commitment from diverse perspectives. Under the title “Sex, Drugs, and Health. Shall We Add AI?”, David offered an engaging and innovative reflection on the use of artificial intelligence tools in the socio-health approach to issues such as substance use, sexual health, and vulnerable populations. The presentation drew significant interest and sparked a lively discussion with the audience.
The event, designed to bring science out of the lab and into public spaces like bars and cafés, was held simultaneously in over 60 cities across Spain, supported by institutions such as the CSIC, Canal Saber, FUNDOS, and various universities.
At SALBIS, we are proud to support and celebrate the involvement of our researchers in public science communication initiatives that promote accessible, critical, and transformative knowledge.
