The future, as a nurse in order to transform, is based on a network methodology
Pilar Marqués, Head of the SALBIS Group at the University of León, was the keynote speaker at the ELNA Gala at the Segovia Campus of the University of Valladolid. The nursing students’ association extended an invitation to Marqués as the first Nurse Professor of Castilla y León. The presentation was moderated by María López, Vice-Dean of the University of Valladolid. Both are part of the Grupo40+Iniciativa Enfermera and highlighted the new professional challenges.
Marqués called for courage to transformation, and for thinking in terms of networks: “We all live in networks, nursing assessment includes networks, we must think methodologically in terms of networks, and the digital context is a context of health or illness that includes networks”.
One of her main points was a provocative tone for young people: “Power is the capacity to influence, we must not be afraid of words that are challenging”.
