I began my teaching career in the 2001–2002 academic year at another university within the same region, Carlos III University of Madrid, where I worked until May 2018. At that point, I continued my academic career at Complutense University of Madrid. At both institutions, I have taught courses in the Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Documentation and the Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management and Digital Content. I have also taught Master’s level courses, both in the Archives and Libraries tracks. Additionally, I have participated in cross-disciplinary subjects across various programs in the faculties of Documentation, Social and Legal Sciences, and the School of Engineering.
My main lines of research focus on Social Network Analysis, using co-authorship or scientometric data within Library and Information Science, as well as data from studies in the Health Sciences. Some of my publications also reflect research lines close to my previous professional experience, such as my work as a documentalist at the Carlos III Health Institute or as an archivist at the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office. I am a member of the Politecom research group and a collaborator at SCImago.
My academic background began with a Diploma in Library and Information Science from the Complutense University of Madrid (1995–1998), followed by a Bachelor’s Degree in Documentation at the University of Alcalá (1998–2000). I completed my predoctoral training at Carlos III University of Madrid (2010) with the defense of my doctoral dissertation: “Bibliometric and network analysis of Spanish institutions with scientific co-authorship in the ANEP Chemistry area: (ISI, Web of Science, 1995–2005).”
