Natalia Calvo Ayuso (SALBIS group), guest speaker at the 2nd Conference on Thermalism: water, health and knowledge
On 18 and 25 March 2026, the 2nd Conference on Thermalism: water, health and knowledge was held, organised by the School of Nursing of Ourense at the Ourense Campus of the University of Vigo.
The event brought together specialists from a range of disciplines and established itself as a forum for sharing experiences, perspectives and advances in the therapeutic use of thermal water. The participation of experts from diverse fields further reinforced the multidisciplinary nature that characterises these conferences.
In this edition, the SALBIS research group was represented by Natalia Calvo Ayuso, who took part as a guest speaker.
Her contribution took place during the second session, held on 25 March, with a presentation focusing on the impact of balneotherapy in the pharmacological management of fibromyalgia, actively contributing to the conference’s scientific programme.
The presence of the SALBIS group at events of this kind helps to enhance the visibility of its research activity and reaffirms its commitment to research excellence focused on health and wellbeing.
